Wine Makers Notes: The Kokomo Cuvee is a unique bland of vineyards and varietals from across Sonoma County. Sonoma County is quickly becoming recognized as one of the premier wine grape regions of the world. Stemming from its close proximity to the coast, the county has very diverse micro-climates and wide range of soil types. We scour the county for vineyards of distinction to showcase the versatility of the area.
Tasting Notes: Bordeaux meets Rhone in a different fashion. Instead of the typical Cabernet Sauvignon/Syrah bland, this is a combination of Cabernet Franc and Petite Sirah, and boy is it dark! Incredibly complex, yet balanced, the nose shows dust and leather. Big round cherry, tobacco, and spice fill the palate and finishes with minerality, approachable tannins, and surprising acidity.
