Grape Varietals: 70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon

Tasting Notes: This delightful rosé, blended from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, is based on a venerable Bordeaux wine type called "Clairet" which gave us, in English, the nick name for Bordeaux, Claret. Darker and with more substance than most rosé wines but still charmingly fresh and lively on the palate, this is a classic rosé and a delicious wine for all meals served out of doors or in warm weather.

Food Pairing: shellfish, scallops, salmon, salads, red meat, pizza, grilled vegetables, shrimp.
