Foursquare Sovereignty Single Blended Rum 750Ml

A blend of two distinct 14 year Aged Single Blended Rums, consisting of both Artisanal Pot and Traditional Twin Column Coffey distilled molasses rums.

One rum was matured for 14 years entirely in Ex-Bourbon barrels, the second, matured for 3 years in Ex-Bourbon barrels then aged for an additional 11 years in Ex-Oloroso Sherry Casks.

All aging, blending and bottling occurring entirely on-site, at Foursquare Rum Distillery in Barbados.

Initial Impressions: Full flavored and complex. Sovereignty shows significant layers with impecable balance - citrusy and fruit forward while having complex oxidative and nuty characteristics.

Aroma: Notes of grapefruit peel, with dark fruits - cherries & blackberries, folowed by dark chocolate, cashews, caramelized pineapple and pipe tobacco.

Palate: Bold and complex - citrus & fruit notes; pomegranate, toasted almond, hazelnuts. With hints of toasted baking spices - cinamon & clove. Finishes dry and lightly tanic with rich caramel, tobacco and overripe pineapple notes lingering.
