Made in Brooklyn by bartenders, Method Sweet is styled after traditional sweet vermouths from Torino, Italy. Our recipe uses 33 botanicals to achieve the familiar profile of caramelized citrus, woody herbs, and hard spices gently wrapped in Madagascar vanilla. We were working in a restaurant celebrated for over three decades of championing local farms and farmers' markets and saw no reason to compromise those values in the bar program. Exceptional breweries are in abundance in New York, local distilleries are making noteworthy contributions in distilled spirit, but there are no traditional sweet or dry vermouths produced locally. We decided to make our own. Method's base wine comes from the Finger Lakes, with fortifying spirit from Finger Lakes Distilling. A portion of proceeds supports relief efforts for the restaurant and hospitality industry.
