The Cuvée Brut is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, disgorged in March after 43 months on the lees. Happily, the disgorgement date is hand-stamped on the label (although my actual bottle had no labels yet; it will be, though). There will be at least one more. This already shows fine complexity, concentration and power. It grips the palate and lingers beautifully. It's a very serious sparkler that should age well, perhaps better than anticipated. This is the only sparkler this issue that made me unequivocally happy. It is super. With the Chardonnay from HJW Vineyard and the Pinot Noir from Magdalena Vineyard, there were 450 cases produced.
