The estate’s Barbera d’Alba Superiore is deep and rich. Still an infant, it bursts from the glass with raspberry jam, cloves and French oak, all wrapped around a serious, intense frame. Sweet, silky tannins frame the opulent finish. This is a decidedly flashy, extroverted wine for Vajra, uncharacteristically rich and poulet, but beautiful if taken on its own terms.
