Chateau Bellevue Marchand is one of eight Bordeaux bottlings produced by Les Vignerons Reunis de Monsegur, a wine cooperative based in Le Puy. The cooperative dates from 1936, when a small group of winegrowers from Monsegur, a village in the heart of the Bordeaux region, joined forces to overcome the wine industry’s economic difficulties and to modernize the winemaking process. Today there are more than 170 members of the cooperative. Chateau Bellevue Marchand has been in the Pelerin family for more than a century. Its 62+ acres of vineyard are planted to a mix of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. This is an elegant, refined red with a strong mineral backbone.
