Australia's answer to Northern Rhône Syrah? Like sniffing the innards of a pepper grinder, this aromatic, highly spicy Shiraz also comes with a good dose of blue- and red-berry fruit, terracotta and an iodine-and-warm earth note. There's power and plushness to palate, but is framed in spicy, chiseled tannins and just enough freshness to keep the mouth watering. One of Aus's great Shiraz bargains.
Wine Tasting Notes
The Mount Langi Ghiran Billi Billi Victoria Shiraz displays a bright, deep garnet color. On the nose, one can detect rich red and black fruits complemented by dried florals and spice. These aromas carry through to the palate, offering a combination of florals, spice, and luscious red and black fruits, all balanced by fine tannins. This wine can be enjoyed now and has the potential to age gracefully until 2026. Rated 93 Points Wine Enthusiast.
